Sounds like an idler going bad or maybe power steering? Take a listen and see if you can find the general vicinity of where the noise is coming from.

Depending on what the "whining" actually sounds like, it could be an exhaust leak.

i just replaced my power steering a couple months ago
i will check where the sound is coming from later, but i do not have an amplifier installed, everything is stock what would it sound like if it were an exhaust leak? |

Check all your vacuum hoses too.

I cant really describe the exact sound of an exhaust leak, but what you should try would be warm up your SVX, leave the door open, stay in park and hit the gas, and if the sound is coming from directly underneath you, it would probably be an exhaust leak.

If you have a younger sister, you can have her take the bus to school. now you can accelerate as much as you want and not here whining.
(Sorry, couldnt help myself) If it's an electrinic, "Your grandma's old tv withy the volume all the way down" kinda whine, its alternator whine. I have NO idea what causes this, but Im sure Trevor does. If its more of a mechanical thing, I'd suspect first a bad bearing on the power steering pump, ac condensor, or alternator.

Could be your tires...Mine make a higher vibration whine...I think a belt shifted inside the tire tread...I rotated the tires and the sound minimized from the front where it was originally coming from.
