Finally

Well, it sat for almost two years since I bought it! But #2 will be on the road soon. Chris Debban assisted (well he did most the work anyways) in putting in the replacement tranny. The car moves under its own power.... sort of. When whe trailered the car to the shop, a few small pieces got left behind, like the two piece shifter cable clamp. Its a small issue, but I cannot seem to be able to get it on past the exhaust. Oh well, off it will come again. Minor issue. Just a few exhaust bolts and the major work is done. I will still need to buy a battery and replace the bearings in the alternator or buy a rebuilt one. Then I will have a few months of working the bugs out of a car that has not been driven in 5-6 years. And yes, I did start the motor often when I had it. I think some of the seals are already dry/damaged. So my new years goal is to have the second car licensed, registered and being driven.

I wonder if this will make me the first person in Idaho to have my own mini-meet. Add Jim (my brother-in-law and additional server admin) and his SVX and we have three.... yea. Oh, and for what its worth, Travis (previous founder of QWK.net and orginal sponsor of bandwidth here) is planning on buying a great condition SVX at the end of his M3 lease.
