falls apart into 2 pcs's. I like the stock size for the most part. My question was originally though for anyone who has already bought one from us, ..and just trying to get some feedback. I think if anyone else was unhappy by now, I would of heard and its been quite (insert crickets chirping here) ![]()

Eh I don't have the stock diameter, I have the lightened with slight underdrive, and so far I it is lasting longer than the one I bought off Ebay. (
![]() -- My notes say I installed it 5.14.04, so yeah I'd say it's good. Quote:

Tom installed one of your crank pulleys for me -- he said it was a little tight going on. I would ask him what he thinks. I bought it because Tom was doing a timing belt and some other stuff and thought it was a good idea to get the one-piece crank pulley upgrade. The price and shipping was a bit steep and I almost didn't do it. I'm not qualified to state whether it's perfect. I think it's good. I have driven about 400 miles with it over the last 3 weeks.

I have the underdrive one and it has been fine except for a couple minor things. 1. In really cold weather it contracts enough to cause belt slippage when you first start the car. Once the car has been running for 10minutes it's 100% fine This is fixed by the simple fact that I no longer drive either SVX from the end of Oct to April.
2. the replacement smaller pulley that you sent as a favor to put on my alternator to offset the voltage drops did not work at all, but I can't complain because you just threw that in there as a favor. As far as performance goes: I haven't really noticed anything super special, but hey, it's just a crank pulley. If anything has changed it is that the car is slightly more quick to rev.

No known troubles here. My mechanic installed it (2+ years ago?) without comment or complaint. I do recall a very slight nick in the peak of one of the "fins" which was obvlously a handling ding, not a manufacturing problem.

No problems
I bought one and installed it myself without issue when the car was new to me with 92K on the clock 2.5 years ago. I now have 140K on the clock and have had zero issues with the pulley. Consider me a reference!
Dayle, maybe you should offer hard anodizing as an option. I for one would have splurged for that. Thanks for the good parts and the great service. You can't please all of the people all of the time, so maybe just write this complainer off as an axception rather than the rule. Last edited by gsodonis; 01-25-2007 at 05:06 PM. |

I've got one of yours on each svx (stock size, lightweight) and had no problems with fit or finish on either one. Both have been performing well with no wobble. I'd have to look back but I think it's been at least 4 years if not more on my daily driven svx.

Just saw this thread.
Mine has been fine but the one on our parts car was wobbling probably due to being undertightened.
