Check Engine Light Revisited
Well, in an unexpected twist on my check engine light problems I've detailed in the past, it appears a cleanout of my intake system has solved a lot of the problems... namely the O2 sensor and Misfire problems have both vanished.
So, I'm left with a Crank Position Sensor error that's still irritating, especially when I've purchased both new CPS's and replaced them... still the error persists. I was thinking about it and is it possible this could actually be the Cam Position Sensor down the side of the engine instead of the crank position sensors? Does the Cam position sensor not trip a different code? FYI, the code I'm getting in a P0337 if that helps. Any thoughts? Do I maybe have failed wiring somewhere? How would I test? Thoughts please??? |

If you are standing in front of your engine bay, the right crank sensor is identical to the cam sensor...same part number. Try swapping those. The left crank sensor is different, only the right one can be swappped with the cam sensor.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Probably have to wait until the weekend though, I just dont have time to take the battery out to get to the cam position sensor
