buyer beware svx on auto traders

this car is a mechnical night mare, i spent 40.00 and all day saturday to buy it come to find out

the car does not run it stalls at top lights
bad oil leak at valve covers
bad exhaust leak @ mannifolds
clunking from right corner
tranny is slipping,

they will not even budge on the price also it was a northern car and has bad corrosion in the engine compartment and the right rear quarter pannel was hit and repaired, rust showing through the bad bondo job,

FYI they also raised the price on it it was originally listed @ 4,500

some one should report them to BBB

For what exactly? they're trying to sell a car, If its incorrectly advertised (which I doubt because I can almost guarantee they say "as is" and "no warranty implied") then its a different problem between the buyer and the seller. BBB has nothing to do with this.

sucks that its so abused though.

they dont mention the mechanical problems, the buyer should be aware of,,

oil leak from valve cover gaskets
car stalling "not in runnning condetion"
thumping in right corner
exhaust manifold leaks.

none of this was mentioned

Agreed. The ad definitely makes the car seem like it's in running condition rather than being a mechanic's special!

plus how would you feel if you flew there or had it delivered to come out to find out it had issues that wasnt stated in the orignal add, i only spend my saturday and 40$ to find this out imagine 700 or so to ship it or a flight ticket to pick it up,

I called the guy about the car to see if he would lie to me about those problems, but as soon as I mentioned which car on the lot it was, he said he'd "get back to me"

its ashame and i think the dealer should be truth full, i gaurantee you that car was in horible mechanical shape, i just hope no one buys it with out seeing and driving it first ,
