replacing a spark plug coil
Anyone any idea how you get the bayonette type clip at the end of the coils out of its post. Its on the drivers side and is the lowest of the 3 clips.

Re: replacing a spark plug coil
Can you take a picture? Not sure what you mean by bayonette clip.

I originally typed a long smart ass remark but decided against it. The best way to get that clip off is to just keep trying at it. It is a pain and you should remove the vacuum hoses out of your way. I can't recall if removing the intake helps at all but good luck.

Re: replacing a spark plug coil
That took a while when I pulled my engine. Did not help that I obviously had to do all 6.
Like mentioned above, keep trying at it. If you get frustrated just walk away for 5 minutes. There is nothing worse than braking something that you weren't trying to replace. It will release and come free even if it does not seem like it will. |
