It goes to show that even if you're pompous and like to throw your money around on a day to day basis. You shouldn't do it with TV cameras following you, it just makes you look like a fool.

ENOUGH WITH THE iPHONE!
I have now an immediate spastic reaction whenever anyone mentions "iPhone." I go all nine inch nails and want to smash it or anything with pictures of it to little pieces in a fit of screaming unquenchable rage.
all these weak pale elitist yuppies waiting in line, gushing over how great it will be. I mean, I'm sure it's really cool and all, but uhh.. not since you people are getting one. Grow some manhood Nancy. Spend that $500 on a woodchiper or a used motorcycle or snow tires or something. So, sorry if I offended anyone, consider this a warning not to get near me using your iPhone. |

Lamo freak thinks she's gonna corner the market, and ends up givin herself the shaft. Too bad she didn't get tweaked for $1500 instead of just the $800.

Maybe your choice in PDA's isn't as polished as you'd like to think. I do not know what your definition of polished, seemless integration between applications is or your definition of intuitive is. Let's see both have touch screens, both have media applications, both can act as a phone, both have keyboards, both use sync software, both can browse the net, both can access email. Remember I'm comparing a pda/phone w/iphone. I did find the video about the soft keyboard interesting. If that dude demonstrating the top speed of using the keyboard, I'd have to sadly say, it's quite slow. Ken/Shelfy knows how fast I can type on my slide out keyboard in AIM. Let's see, my pda phone does the following: AIM and all chat applications, Act as a 300kb connection for my laptop to the internet, Email, contact management, calendar w/reminder, Plays videos, movies, music easily, Takes pictures and videos, The flash is so bright, that if you leave it on, it doubles as a small flashlight shell client to access unix based boxes, terminal services, although small on the screen, can help to access TS servers/workstations if needed, very good reception (which i wonder how the iphone will do in this area), mapping software and bluetooth gps ready, wifi if needed and the ability to use as a internet phone, with proper software on your home pc, will act as a tv receiver, voice recorder which i've used on many occasions, office suite, adobe reader, internet browser, internet radio, wireless remote for tv's and such, and there's probably a few things that i forgot to mention.. oh and i know i can get a services application for it to manage schedules, email invoices, and take credit card transactions... yeah iphone imo is just for dweebs in the youtube video. oh yeah, i wonder how well the battery will last on that sucker. i know that mine didn't last long until i went with the extended batteries. oh yeah, i forgot to mention that the cradle used for sync'ing and charging had space to charge the phone w/extended battery attached as well as another spare extended. yeah i got 2 extended that works great. i'm sure she's one of the ones who buys out game consoles when they first come out, laptops, new iwhatevers when they come out. fi she didn't make a killing on ebay doing it in the past, she wouldn't be at the store trying to get the #1 position. she was stupid in a sense that she didn't check with the store manager before hand. besides, the store manager would rather have 1 per customer because he could renew their contracts or extend them for that little discount off the new phone. they get what? $20-25 per contract on top of what they make off the phone and accessories? if they sold them all to her, they would have made much less money. fat cow had no idea how those stores make their money. |
