awd

tomorrow i will be starting my fwd to awd conversion, i have a parts car so this will be free, i know i have to switch out rear subframes, and do some wiring for duty solenoid c, but are there any other major suggestions anyone has for me, i have my awd tranny sitting in my garage and cant wait to use it, i know the tranny is more prone to failure because it has a 160000 miles on it and is out of a 92 but i really dont care saying as i have another trans to swap back in and just wanna have some fun in awd.

Plus after this conversion you'll be ready for the next conversion: 5/6MT!

Sometimes heat and patience (maybe a little bit of penetrating fluid) can be your friend.

things are looking up in the awd conversion, i got the rear subframe swapped back into my car, i also have the rear diff sitting in the rear subframe with axles, i almost have the trans out all i have to do is seperate the axles and unbolt it, then i will be able to guide it out, i am pushing hard to get it done today because i want to take my car out and climb some hills

well my day went down hill, i finished my awd and was driving it, one of the cooling lines busted and i started loosing trans fluid fast, took off from a red light and slip goes the tranny, i towed it home, changed the filter, and fixed the line, but going forward seems like i am slamming on the brakes all the time, any suggestions

Hmm...Best to check and make sure the atf is topped off right. May want to secure any lines, wipe them clean and watch out for any leaks.
Im not exactly a transmission expert

i am guessing that the tranny has something blocking its flow, i was driving it the way it was because i had to, and the same line blew, this time it was brand new and i ran a soft line all the way to the tranny cooler so i am guessing that the lack of flow is causing too much pressure and blowing the lines, any suggestions, it was completely topped off with fresh fluids as well,
