Outside Temp Sensor
Since I've had my radiator replaced the outside temperature is reading way too high.
I'm assuming it's caused by the lager rad causing more heat in the engine bay. Would someone please advise where the sensor is located. I'd like to explore mounting the sensor in an alternate location.

Re: Outside Temp Sensor
Hello, SVX_MY_BABY
It is connected to the F17 connector. I believe it is located under the radiator. please see attached wire diagram. Is the hot air that passed through the non genuine radiator exhausted to the rear? The sensor may feel the hot air if are returning forward. I recommend that make sure there are no space between radiator and radiator core support to return hot air forward around radiator. I have a sponge stuffed around the radiator. I believe airflow control is the most important part of engine cooling. |

Re: Outside Temp Sensor
Hi
It was in front of the radiator rather than under it. Please check the attached photo. |

Re: Outside Temp Sensor
Thank you for the photos. The shop took the bumper off to replace the radiator. The sensor and mount you show in the photo are missing on my car. Obviously the didn't reassemble things correctly. I also noticed some of the bolts on the bumper are missing.

Re: Outside Temp Sensor
Hi,
Oh, the shop has done a very rough maintenance. I hate rough maintenance. All parts should be in the correct place. I hope the sensor has not been removed and thrown away. As you know, all SVX parts are hard to find and valuable. If the outside temperature is changing, it may be hanging around and in a place it shouldn't be. For reference, in Japan, a factory called "Sugita Radiator" makes custom radiators. It looks like someone replaced the radiator in February of this year. My SVX's radiators are still original, but I'm not too concerned as long as they are be there. https://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid...5216/note.aspx http://sgt-r.com/ Prices are seems ¥30.500-¥72.000- http://www.sgt-r.jp/edit-data/html/r...240813819.html https://www.google.com/maps/@35.2852...7i16384!8i8192 Last edited by Noriyasu; 05-20-2023 at 08:28 PM. |
