Last minute intense driving day?

Well like I was saying in my post WCSS6 post the drive down Friday was pretty fun. An incredible scenery and driving skills road with tons of twists and turns that Jim had put together. Possibly one of the best touring routes in the northwest.

Was thinking since so many that originally were going to go couldn't make it, and since there are probably a few more interested in a very spirited drive in the country, that it might be worth asking if anyone would be up for just doing a day of driving down and back (or if you are coming from the south/east/etc maybe meeting along the route).

We'd have to do it quickly as the road closes for winter Oct 1st. I'm thinking maybe the weekend after Labor Day, possibly even on that Sunday (seems lately Saturday has been a bad day for some of our members?). I don't know, like I said, just putting out the idea. Now everyone discuss.

Okay, as usual we have to clarify our "nexts"

By next weekend, do your mean this coming Labor Day weekend Sept 4 and 5th? Or the weekend after which would be Sept 11 and 12th?

Oh oh, is it a overnight visit for your car? Hope it is not too serious.

I may not be able to do it the weekend after Labor Day now, I am already scheduled to work (and we get bonus sharing checks that day!). I know the weekend after that is the BC thing. Maybe the weekend after the weekend after the weekend after?

Uhhhh could you give us a date for that?

If we don't get around to it we could always save it for spring.

That would be Sept 25 or 26.

We could do it on the weekend before to coincide with the BC meet, but not sure who is all going to that one and don't want to take away from it or vice versa.

or maybe you can do it on the weekend of the BC thing.....since crossing the border may be the most intense experience of the weekend

Oh well, I think we should shelve this idea until next year. If they have the WCSS7 at Hood River again, we'll save it until then. (another incentive to get everyone to come)

The BC meet is coming up fast and within a couple months here it will be time for FCT3 for all the driving buffs out there.
