Auto conversion

Why would you go through the expense of retrofitting to a RS auto? Seems like a lot of work just to shorten the gears. Plus it will probably not be built as strong. I happen to like the SVX gears. One thing about the SVX is it is a midrange monster with a decent launch due to the AWD system. I raced an older model z28 (1992 or so at the track) and pulled him the whole way, really pulling away in the midrange. Don't forget, the SVX has a whole hell of a lot less drag than an RS or even the new model WRX. The SVX is a great GT car with a real flat torque curve (especially when turbocharged). I don't think these gears will gain you that much bang for your buck. Now do a standard trans conversion.....well that is a different story.

BTW huck any milage data yet on the SVX 5 speed?
