I ended up with a set of custom made brackets that bolt to the Recaro sliders that allow the seat to drop lower than the stock SVX seat to maximize head room for me (I'm 6'3") when I've got me helmet on. Took multiple trips to a friends shop to get to wherer I am today and they still need some mods so that I'm comfortable with them but they work for now.

To all, seats are a safety item and as such brackets to mount them should be built well to absorb the loads in the event of an impact and keep the seat in position. Please keep this in mind when buying and installing aftermarket seats.

Todd you might be right, but the way I am sitting with these installed as my current setup, there is the adapter which resembles to this --> #
Then its brackets on the adapter, then obviously the seat. All these installed, and I am around 6' (182cm), and my head is somehow free. I think they sit lower than OEM.

Let me try with the L brackets on these seats and see where I end up, and thank you for your input.

Some of them are stingy with their seats and try to milk as much cash as possible but I'd start with a low offer, wait till they're in need of cash and offer again.

Just as well, you may be able to find some at a local junkyard even..
OEM STi seats or Recaro/Sparco, or even Recaros for another car is safe enough to have it installed. But these are not cheap as you mentioned above.

I bought cheap Chinese for two reasons, one because of their color, which somehow matches my interior. Two because of their price, $120 or $150 for both, I do not really recall exactly.
