How safe do you want to keep it stored?

Many people I know from MCOA (Mustang Club of America) will let the car sit on its own suspension, not on blocks, but with scrap tires on it. Some will go as far as to spray the undercarriage and engine compartment with oil to protect from surface rust. Although very messy to clean up when you get home, it works well.

The basics, fill up the tank (not as important with the SVX's plastic tank) add sta-bil or other fuel storage additive, lubricate all the rubber seals so they don't dry against the car and rip when you open the door a year and a half later. Wash and wax the car. Cover is optional, but I would reccomend it.

Good Luck and stay safe in Turkey.
