I can relate a bit! I went from a '99 LS1 to a 2.5 RS. I do miss the RWD and the brute strength of the LS1, but I was getting a little tired of having my monthly insurance just about equal my car payment. =P
My friend's got a Z32 that we just did a TT swap on, unfortunately it took us weeks! Sucks to work full time and then realize you're missing a tool/part every time you get a chance to work on the swap. I really chalked it up to his not being prepared, but..
The swap's done, but not up to its full potential. It's also his daily driver. And he's running it pretty much w/out any exhaust system.
Now he's having an AWD jones.

And though I'm currently looking into a SVX, I'll likely be buried in my Z. Heck maybe just put me, the Z, and the SVX (when I get one), into cold storage when I'm done with this place
