They'll give you a hard time, and it's understandable why they do so...


Think about it this way... in an accident the safety glass is designed to break into "pebbles" of glass instead of shards. If you already have cracks developing, the glass is likely to turn into shards, or long daggers of glass in those areas rather than the designed pebbles. Those shards don't feel nice when they puncture your abdomen when that Ford Explosion swerves in front of you and forces you into the guardrail.

Personally, I would get the windshield replaced. Many states force your insurance company to replace the windshield with no deductible regardless of your level of coverage. That would be nice considering the $$$ involved in the SVX windshield.
