Obviously the sticking point here is one's definition of the term
spirited driving. For example, I don't always have to hear the tires complaining to enjoy driving the winding mountain roads around here, and I couldn't care less if whoever's beside me at a traffic light feels the need to stomp the gas in order to beat me to the next light. But hey, I realize that's a minority view.
It's all relative. Tool around in a stock, timeworn Legacy for a few years and an SVX will feel like a rocketship.
