When I first bought mine, it only blew out of the defrost vents. Tried fixing it and kinda got it to work but as soon as I hit defrost on the CC unit, it would stick there again. So finally I found a spot where it blows both at my feet and through the defrost vents. Works very nicely and since my a/c doesn't work, there's no point to change it for summer. It keeps my floors dry. I also chose to take out my stock floor matts as there is less material for water to be absorbed in. I make sure to kick as much snow off my shoes outside the car as I get in as well. Even with only short trips, this is never a problem.
-I know that to fix the directional control, it just needs to be cleaned and regreased, just haven't worried about it...
