Okay - update:
The Good: The repairs should be done within the hour, so we'll be on our way home shortly thereafter.
The Bad: Tropial storm Ophelia has been sitting off the freakin' coast the ENTIRE time we've been away from home, and our path and Ophelia's path have a high probability of meeting in S. Carolina at EXACTLY the same time.
This is getting a little odd.
Hopefully you'll hear from me in a day or so.
