A lie is when you tell a whole bunch of people that you have a 980 hp SVX and you then proceed to call them names and offer to beat the crap outta them if you ever catch em'.
Stretching the truth is when you say you caught a 13 inch trout when in fact it was 10 inches.
See the difference? One is a lie that can't be backed up by any sort of proof what ever, and the other is stretching the truth, you did catch a fish, but he grew 3 inches after death.
