Not just O-rings, but the hoses as well. I had to replace the condensor-to-compressor hose when I bought my car because it was literally weeping through the rubber, as if filled with tiny pinholes. The dealership included a new hose in the deal. Switched to R134 at the same time and have had no AC issues in >30,000 miles.
