The brake lines enter into the interior of the car. You can take out the rear seats and pull up the carpet just a bit, and this can give you access to the hard lines. You could then patch in proper rubber line from the hard line to where the line coming from the caliper stops.

Some states will not allow the use of a rubber line in place of a metal line. I was able to replace my metal lines in this area without having to drop the subframe.
