sorry to ask a question with out giving a solid answer but where is the fuel pressure regulator on these cars? because you might want to check that for leakage... and as far as the charging system goes you can get the whole system checked at most shops.... or go get the battery tested for free... and just check the voltage on the battery when your car is running it should be about 14v.... remember it can still read 14v and you can still have a bad alternator but for that to happen is rare...head gaskets should be fine check your coolent to see if it looks brown and muddy and under your oil cap for the same looking residue
