Thank you thank you......immensely helpful!!! BUT............ the silly thing is still overheating! I don't get it! It will run just fine ....... we went from SaltLake to Flaming Gorge.....got within 50 miles of Manila Ut and BAM! Up shot the temperature gauge AGAIN
Then it went down.....then it went up....then it went down.......then it went up!!! But the weird thing about it is that when we popped the hood, the car didn't FEEL hot.....the radiator cap was cool enough to hold your hand on it but the overflow was full..... Any ideas???? It did the same thing on the way home from Flaming Gorge. Got about 50 miles from home, car was running great, not even a fluctuation in the temperature gage.......then the air conditioning started to get warm and BAM up went the temperature gage again.....all the way to the RED!!! Same thing, the engine does not feel hot , the radiator cap is cool enough to touch but the overflow was full........do you think it is the radiator cap??? Any help would be highly appreciated We are confused We just got a thermostat at the auto parts store....Maybe we should pull it and get an OEM?? It was VERY different from the original.......Thanks!!
