I never change the setting on mine. Winter precip isn't much of an issue here.
On my silver it was a minor hassle manually adjusting the driver's side wiper arm so that it didn't whack the A-pillar on the upswing. (Eventually it did that with such force the blade assembly actually snapped apart.) I've finally gotten it to an acceptable medium, but as someone else noted, aftermarket wipers resting hard on the stop warp right in the center. Oh well; I buy new blade assemblies every 18 months or so anyway.
