I swore off baseball back when the Micky Lolitch and the Tigers beat Bob Gibson and the Cards in the world series (Yes, I'm old and I can hold a grudge . . . for a LONG LONG time).
I just think the Diamondbacks have a great pitcher with a cool name.
(I have two autographed baseballs on my desk: Randy Johnson [yes, signed by the Diamondbacks pitcher] and one signed by Cal Ripken, Jr.)
