Clearly no one knows for sure what happens. It is possible that the wing reduces turbulance. Maybe it helps, maybe it hurts. It probably doesn't make a big difference but it has to make some difference. No one knows if it is good or bad though unless they have an inside source in Subaru that worked on the project.
