I bought mine with an exhaust leak and after fixing that noticed a knocking noise. I've driven it and its done just fine. It starts EVERY time and runs good other than the knocking which we figure is from a spun bearing probably from getting run low on oil.(and no its not valve noise common with Subys)

Edit: I've put about 6000 miles on it since I bought it and with the trans blown, I am driving at higher RPMs almost constantly.
