Wow! That was the easiest fix ever!
The clip just slid right out of the old regulator, and just as easily slid into the new one! I just hope that the failure was due to normal wear and tear, rather than some misalignment putting extra stress on the part. After all I don't have another clip handy if this one breaks. Thanks for the help!
