the first and easiest thing to do would be to make sure the tire air pressure is at specs. Different circumferences front to rear from improper air pressure will cause a shudder at speed. My svx is very sensitive to this. Specs are in the drivers side door frame. Are all of the tires on your car the same size and type/ brand? If not you may have some problems. Different rolling circumferences on an AWD car will cause problems.

If that doesn't help then get the tires balanced properly (2nd cheapest alternative)

After that I would go after getting the rotors checked for warping, maybe even turned down - that can be cheap if you have the skills to take them off yourself and bring them to a shop. Beyond that you are going to be spending some money.
