Dustin, thanks for the tip. Just got back in from removing the metal clips...they are what was definately creating that creaking noise...however a new problem!!
Because the metal clips are removed there is slack/play between the pad and the caliper brace, I can actually poke my finger through the rim and move pad back and forth...in addition, when driving whenever i go over the slightest bump i can actually hear what i believe to be the pads hitting up against the caliper brace. Very embarassing and uncomforting when driving!
I know shotgunblade has these installed, have you had any problems such as these?
