Check the bushings that support the rear differential. There are two of them located between the diff and the muffler. Both of mine were torn to pieces and I could move the diff around easily. If I was at home I'd post pictures, but I'm at work so pics will have to wait.

I had thought it was the transmission support that was damaged, and as it was being replaced, I noticed those bushings were bad too. Replacing the the tranny support solved some of the clunking, but it was in much better shape than the rear bushings, and a few days later when those came in and got replaced the clunking was eliminated completely.
