Good luck. I loved my '86 (carb, no FI), dual-range 4x4, oil pan skid plate, Brat white spoke wheels, A/C, cruise, no power anything, all of 90 horsepower. Decent fuel economy, secure at speed (once you got there), and would go anywhere the undercarriage would clear the terrain. Bought new and still running fine (but smoking in sweeping turns) when I let it go in '00 at 212,000 miles. Never needed mechanical, transmission or suspension work; not even a clutch. Vermont road salt did 'er in.

It was a car Subaru should still be making (only this time, with rustproofing). If you run across one in this part of the country, let me know.
