Jim the Cruise Control's 'turn-off relay' is grounded, to turn the Cruise off, when you select N or P.
As long as you use the recomended 30 amp relay, the small current that the Cruise uses, won't turn the 30 amp relay on to cause the starter to work.
It does work very well, and saves the other contacts and wiring.
