This is normal. It has been discussed many times, but I'm not sure if we ever really agreed on what it is. I have driven 4-5 SVX's and they ALL do it. I have only found two ways to stop it from happening:

1) Let the car warm up for a minute or two before driving.....even if it is warm outside.


2) Accelerate slowly from any stop that you make, at least for the first minute or so of driving.


Just another one of the SVX's weird quirks.
