Bald, or "biled" peanuts are an acquired taste . . . which I haven't been able to acquire (GAK!).
I love the southern language, though. It's so efficient. You could be tarred, which means that you're exhausted, or, you're waiting for feathers. You could be re-tarred, which means that you've gotten too old to work, or, you're waiting for a second layer of feathers. You could have war, which could be a fight, or something you use your plars on. And, one of my personal favorites, "A blonde date." This could refer to the color of your date's hair, the fact that you've not met this person before, or, that she cannot see.
