ECU will relearn the new TPS position and the idle will return to normal. It takes it about a week of normal driving (10 engine restarts or so)
TCU does not have learning functions, so the flare will not return.
The downside is that you will get the higher idle and will have to wait for ECU to relearn after each ECU reset (removing battery for more than 5-10 minutes)...
