It's looking good for paint from this side.
I put my Claret under the sander a few weeks ago, and it's coming along rather well, but yes it's easy to get carried away and I have most of the clear and some of the color off, and it's heading for Primer coats real soon.

Although it's also nice to see that the paint can hold up rather well to 25 years plus of punishment.
