Well... I found the problem... Turns out (if anyone read this thread) that when my remote went through the wash and came out fine... It didn't...
In a stroke of brilliance, I didn't disassemble it and dry it out... The battery corroded and died...
A $2.96 trip to Batteries Plus later and all was well again.
