If you were to do this, you would no longer be able to pull the codes for transmission issues. It requires the manual button.

I think you could swap A4 for A6, and use your rocker switch for the manual mode button to avoid losing manual mode.

To be honest, I rarely take mine out of power mode now...
On the highway when I want it to lock up, I just put on the cruise control, it over rides power mode.
