A good point I think many miss. It's impossible to accurately determine fuel mileage by the gauge; you have to see how many miles the car will travel on a given amount of gas. Fill up 'til it clicks-off, set the trip odometer to zero, drive, repeat... then divide the elapsed mileage by the quantity of fuel loaded to arrive at the MPG. The SVX will return high-teens in town and high-twenties on the road with ease. If you mileage is substantially lower, you're driving very hard or something's wrong somewhere.
