"best" and "quality" are advertising words. Their paint may exceed Lexus' in one of a hundred categories (like environmental cleanliness), but fail miserable in all the others.

Law of averages. Like Midas's "lifetime muffler". They count on a certain number of people selling their cars, totaling them, getting frustrated and taking it somewhere else. The few cars that they do get back because the owner holds onto it for a few years is built into their pricing structure.
