Re: Attempting Timing Belt / Water Pump Replacement - Tips/Advice.

UPDATE:

and A HUGE THANKS to Huck.

He has helped me enormously in the past with XT6 related issues (up to and including driving 15+ hours from his home in Kentucky to mine in Jacksonville to swap cars w/ me while he took mine back to KY for repairs!). In the ten years or so I've known him he's always been willing to go the extra mile and then some to help. I can't say enough about the man.

This time while on a trip with his family to Disney World, he stayed with us and helped me change my T-belt and water pump. He also noticed my crank pulley was separating (something I probably wouldn't have noticed at all), and went with me to the junk yard to get one from a Legacy. I might have been able to do it without his help, but it would have taken me forever and I probably would have missed the crank pulley issue. Huck knocked it out in an amazingly short time and the car is running great now.
