I gave up a 1975 /75 last year for a new 1200 Sportster. It feels a lot like the torquey 650 Norton I enjoyed in 1970. I liked the Beemer a lot but it was, after many miles, needing attention. The BMW was smooth but if I want smooth now, I get in the SVX. Just picked up another 92 off ebay. I get an extended tour of New York City with the deal. First trip to the big apple for this Montana boy. "Where are those girls?" Then I'll go out on Cape Cod and back home.
