Over the past several years my A/C fan has developed the irritating habit going off without warning, and then turning on again. Today it went off and on about 5 times during a 10 second period - and didn't come back on. Turned into a filling station to get gas, when I started the car again fan started. Something is getting worse here....

While the hood was up (trying to save the pressure pistons - already been hit in the head once by a falling bonnet), I replaced the strainer thing that goes into the power steering fluid reservoir that I stepped on while doing the o-ring repair. Cost me $7 and a three week wait......had to laugh.......my commitment to "keep it stock" would have been tested by this replacement of this seemingly useless thing 20 years ago......
