Stuff like this makes me feel fortunate to have a couple of rust-free cars old cars. I lost a Subaru to New England road salt and recall well that sinking feeling of poking at a paint bubble and leaving a jagged hole.
While changing the master window switch on my silver car, which came from Colorado (with brief stints in several of the lower 48, including Massachusetts), I was pleased to find zero rust inside the door. The teal's a life-long sunbelt car. Hopefully the previous owner didn't take her into the the Florida surf...
