The stock 215/60s are about 26.2" tall. The 205/55's will be about 1.3" shorter. They will read about 5% slow, so when the speedo reads 60 mph, you'll actually be going 57 mph.

A 205/60 would be 0.5" shorter, and the speedo would read slow by 2% (60 mph is really 59 mph).

You could use either size, provided those sizes are available in the tire you want.
