I've noticed a few people mention rear main seal leaks and the oil dripping on the head pipes creating smoke.I'm wondering if an oil separator leak would do the same thing.And also why is it called a separator if it just is an access cover.What does it separate
?Might sound like a dumb ? but I'm curious.Any help anyone? I believe mine may be leaking as well as there is oil on the crossmember but is so slight it's hard to call it a leak.Maybe the beginning of a main seal leak
