I agree with the pilot. Costs all depend on what transmission you chose.
cable operated 5mt's are good for daily driving but won't last forever
Hydro 5mt's (push style aka non turbo) are in the same boat as the cables
wrx 5mt's are stronger and are a better match for the car all around. They last longer and can take a decent amount of abuse as long as you don't drive like I do
6mt's are really kinda overkill unless you want to make loads of power or have a RWD complex. They are heavy, strong and
EXPENSIVE They are good at holding great amounts of torque and abuse.
The costs increase as you make your way down the list but so does durability.
