is there some kind of connection or something that could be loose?

because my friend told me he has the same problem in his dodge caravan and all he had to do was to change a cable that was under the car and it cost $30-$40
The SVX does not have a cable. It is all electronic.

It sounds like either the connector on the VSS#2 is loose or the sensor itself is going bad.

Hopefully someone can get you the diag procedure. Otherwise you'll have to wait until next week for me to post it.
