Ugh... I was praying someone wouldn't ask me that...
My mechanical ignorance knows no bounds... It's not just SVX's that I'm inexperienced with... ...and I hate admitting that anywhere, but especially here...
I *believe* that I have a left rear bearing going...
...and though I don't know what a slipping tranny feels like, I would assume the occassional "getting kicked in the butt" feeling I have when going from (maybe?) 2nd - 3rd might be it...
I check my fluids regularly and I seem to have an oil leak somewhere (tranny fluid is still pink).
...and I believe I have a lose tranny heatshield (high-pitched metallic rattling).
Also, I don't know if it's normal with the car, a weakening motor, a bad seal or what.. But unless I close the driver's side window at a full stop or whilst going under 20 MPH, it doesn't seal completely.
